A Vision Realised – Design work for MS Readathon 2024

A Vision Realised – “I knew how I wanted this campaign to look, even before we won the contract.” says Paul Ruane, Head of Brand with Fuzion. “Thankfully, when we presented it to MS Ireland, they loved it. I had the vision of using 3D mythical characters with a Disney Pixar style, showing how stories can come to life in kids’ imaginations.” The objective of this campaign for the MS Ireland Readathon 2024 was to encourage parents, teachers and children to enjoy and love reading books, all for a worthy cause that helps MS Ireland provide essential services for people with Multiple Sclerosis.
Paul says “The concept was to use vibrant magical characters, colours and graphics bursting out of an open book which was being read by a child, capturing what can be imagined when reading stories. I wanted the word ‘unreal’ in the messaging to tie in with the 3D imaginary characters, which also conveys joy and excitement”. This whole campaign involved the design of multiple pieces such as brochures, registration forms, printed envelopes, posters, bookmarks, social media ads, website graphics and even a giant book for a photocall. The very talented designer, Martin Kelly, really helped bring the whole concept and vision to life and the overall suite of promotional pieces all came together beautifully.
This was a perfect project for Fuzion as a full service brand communications agency. With Michelle Harrison, Heather Lordan and Stephanie Stafford on PR, media engagement and video production, Ciaran O’Raghallaigh on copywriting support, Greg Canty on digital marketing and Alina Magomedova and social media management, the full campaign has been hugely successful so far and really shows off what Fuzion as an agency can do.
The feedback from the client and responses from their patrons so far has been overwhelmingly positive. “I couldn’t be happier with how this whole campaign has come together, and it is one that I am very proud of.” says Paul Ruane.
We really enjoyed working on this project and Multiple Sclerosis Ireland are a pleasure to work with. We look forward to working with them again.
