The Malton Hotel today announced details of a spectacular après racing event at the hotel on Thursday July 14th, following Ladies Day at the Killarney Races. Launched by Kerry footballer and Irish Independent fashion columnist Paul Galvin, ‘The Race Club’ is the must stop destination for race goers following Ladies Day proceedings at Killarney racecourse.
The event will carry an elegant French theme coinciding with Bastille Day which also falls on that date. Guests will enjoy delicious gourmet French supper bowls prepared by head chef John O’ Leary and top class music and entertainment from Frankly Bublé.
The ‘piece de resistance’ for the evening will be the ‘Heavenly Heels’ competition, where the guest with the most stylish shoes coupled with a walk that encapsulates elegance, grace and confidence will be deemed the winner. Advice will be on hand from a shoe expert from Brown Thomas Cork who will help to choose the Heavenly Heels winner.
The prize to strut away with is a voucher for a pair of stunning Christian Louboutin shoes from The Shoe Rooms at Brown Thomas Cork. Commenting on the event, Conor Hennigan General Manager of the Malton Hotel said “This year we are promising race-goers an evening of elegant entertainment in the relaxed surroundings of our Garden Room. Only a short distance from the racecourse, our event is the perfect après racing venue and the best place to carry on all the entertainment and glamour of Ladies Day racing”.
In addition to the evening’s entertainment, The Malton has also obtained the services of award winning salon Sean Taaffe Hair & Beauty, Killarney, whose team will be on hand offering guests complimentary hair and makeup touch ups on arrival at the hotel, ensuring that they are at their most glamorous for the evening ahead.
The Race Club event begins at 6pm on Thursday July 14th. Tickets cost €35 and are available from The Malton Hotel, Town Centre, Killarney. Alternatively call Dawn Fitzell at the hotel on 064 663 8000 or email sales@themalton.com
