A new free online service, UnitedWeSave.ie has been launched to help consumers save hundreds on household bills! This innovative, yet simple business concept is now available throughout the country and enables householders to “unite” and bulk purchase their service requirements leading to lots of savings!
Currently, UnitedWeSave.ie offers Waste Disposal and Home Heating Oil services, with Electricity, Gas and Insurance becoming available at a later date.
A community concept developed by Kerry businessman David Slattery; UnitedWeSave.ie basically groups the service needs of householders and matches these with service providers.
David states “Every household, whether it is a one bedroom apartment or a 10 bedroom mansion, is looking at savings at the moment, particularly with another dreaded budget looming on the horizon. Household utilities are something that we all pay for and by joining together there are great savings to be had. Through UnitedWeSave.ie, we have made this a simple process, just fill in a simple form on-line, with no obligation and then just sit back watch the savings that can be made. “
It’s also a win-win for the service providers, as UnitedWeSave.ie is an effortless way to provide them business in convenient groups with little sales effort. By bidding for a large amount of business in one lot and in convenient geographic groups, the service provider will enjoy savings that can be passed directly onto the UnitedWeSave.ie customers. Everybody wins!
The idea of UnitedWeSave.ie came to David Slattery at an annual barbeque in his own housing estate in Tralee, Co. Kerry. As he chatted to friends and neighbours the topic of the economy kept coming up as it does the length and breadth of Ireland. David says “What I was hearing was utter frustration, with everyone feeling like we had no control over the situation. I looked around me and thought, even in our small housing estate, we could take some control back, by grouping together on
bills that are similar to all of us and bulk purchase. That night I couldn’t sleep as I thought about the potential for households to join together to make savings. By the next morning I had the basis of the business plan put together and UnitedWeSave.ie was born!”
The simple layout of the website allows members of the public to just sign up free of charge and indicate the types of services that they are interested in saving money on. Participating consumers incur no cost and saving money could not be simpler.
The UnitedWeSave.ie scheme has been adopted in counties Kerry, Cork and Clare to date with householders saving on average €45 on a fill of home heating oil. Shortly, when the full range of services are available on the site, a household will be able to save up to €750 in a year
