Port of Cork Company Unveils Cruise Season Schedule
The Port of Cork Company (PoCC) is delighted to announce its highly anticipated Cruise Liner Schedule for 2025. The port is set to welcome 93 cruise vessels between April and November 2025.
Marking the beginning of the cruise season, the MS Ambition, operated by Ambassador Cruise Line, is scheduled to arrive at the Port of Cork on April 13th, 2025. With a length exceeding 216 meters and a capacity to carry nearly 1,250 passengers, the MS Ambition sets the stage for what promises to be a thriving year for Cork’s cruise industry.
Cruise tourism is estimated to contribute €17 million to the local economy, with onshore spending averaging at €81 per passenger and €29 per crewperson.
Cruise liners expected to arrive in Cork will bring passengers from all over the world, with vessel origins from the US, Canada, and Europe. The MS Ambition will wrap up the season on November 1st, having notably kicked off the cruise season for the Port of Cork in April. Currently, the MS Ambition sails under the Bahamian flag.
Conor Mowlds, Chief Commercial Officer at the Port of Cork Company, shared his enthusiasm for the 2025 season. He stated, “We are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead in 2025 and remain committed to enhancing Cork’s reputation as a top cruise destination. Our continued collaboration with local stakeholders ensures we provide an exceptional experience for cruise liners, passengers, and crew. The Port of Cork is proud to welcome visitors from around the globe, showcasing the best of what Ireland has to offer.”

A highlight of the schedule is the Queen Anne, which made its maiden voyage to Cork last year. As one of the newest and largest cruise ships in the world, it is the latest addition to the famed Cunard Line’s fleet. The impressive 113,000-ton vessel spans 14 decks, accommodates 3,000 guests, and measures 323 meters in length. The Queen Anne will return to Cork in both May and August, offering another opportunity for locals and visitors to experience its grandeur.
