Former TD for Cork North West Áine Collins CPA IOD has recently launched a new business, Flexi-FD. With over 25 years of financial expertise, as well as being involved in setting government policy for SMEs during her tenure as a public representative Áine, together with her team will bring practical hands on experience to support small and medium businesses to grow and develop their businesses with a wide range of services, from bookkeeping to management accounting with a comprehensive range of business advisory services.
Since her departure from politics, Áine has been supporting a number of businesses, both at board and CFO levels, as well as a two year term as President of CPA Ireland (Chartered Professional Accountants) and a business mentor for high potential start ups on various Enterprise Ireland programmes.
Áine stated “My work over the past number of years has shown me that while many businesses have a need for dedicated finance resources, often SMEs can’t justify an internal resource to meet every need.. At Flexi-FD we can be an organisation’s Flexible Finance Department, working closely with the owner and management team, providing a consistent and expert resource, with as much or as little support and expertise as is needed.
Áine’s knowledge and practical experience means she can quickly understand and transform a business’s financial processes and create efficient systems that produce real benefits. She is joined in the business by Kathleen Chambers CMA, who is a highly experienced Financial Controller with particular experience in both multi national and SME family-owned environments.
