The team from Manor West Retail Park today presented their chosen charities Enable Ireland and Kerry Palliative Care Unit with a cheque for €400 each. A staff table quiz was held on December 3rd at the Manor West Hotel in aid of both charities where the total was raised. The total amount of €800 was split equally between both charities and will be put to great use to benefit people in the local Kerry area.
Manager of Manor West Retail Park, Derek Rusk stated “Both Enable Ireland and Kerry Palliative Care Unit are central charities within our community. We felt that any donation towards them would be a help in getting the future help and assistance that both charities need. We are delighted that the staff here at Manor West took part in the table quiz and it’s great to see them so enthusiastic about coming together on this initiative and helping really worthy Kerry charities at the same time.”
Ted Moynihan of Kerry Palliative Care Unit said ‘I would like to thank all who got involved with the table quiz at Manor West. It is through their efforts and others in the community that we are able to continue to provide our services and care, assisting the elderly in our community.”
Seán Scally who received the cheque on behalf of Enable Ireland stated “This donation means a lot to us and the funds collected will go towards achieving maximum independence, choice and inclusion for disabled members in our community.
