The IACP Launch Free Public Event: Essential Conversations with the IACP

The Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy is delighted to announce the launch of Essential Conversations with the IACP: Self-Care & Therapy 101, a free ticketed event, on Tuesday 17th September from 17:30 to 20:30 at the DLR LexIcon Library in Dún Laoghaire.

 

This engaging evening hosted by Irish presenter and wellness advocate Síle Seoige will feature in-depth conversations with IACP accredited counsellors and psychotherapists about  the importance of self-care and therapy. The event will provide attendees with a better understanding of the types of therapy and how it can help them, along with easy self-care techniques to improve their well-being and mental health. 

 

Speaking ahead of the event, Lisa Molloy, IACP’s Chief Executive Officer commented, We’re excited to invite the community to connect with our members to learn about the benefits of therapy and self-care in a welcoming and caring setting. The event will feature accessible, expert-led discussions, practical self-care techniques, and an opportunity for attendees to ask questions.”

 

Attendees of the event will have the opportunity to explore a range of topics, including: 

  • Tips for Self-Care: Simple, effective ways to incorporate self-care rituals into daily life.
  • Demystifying Therapy: Understanding what therapy is and its benefits, 
  • Dispelling myths and breaking down barriers to seeking help.
  • Guidance on how to find an accredited therapist that is right for you and why this is important.
